Build a compact, remotely manageable Apple automation rack with four Mac mini M4, M5, or M6 systems in one purpose built 3U rack mount. The mount holds four Mac minis and positions four SwitchBot Button Pushers over their power buttons, giving each computer independent physical power button control through the customer’s SwitchBot setup.

Designed for standard 19 inch racks, this high density rack mount consolidates four Mac minis into only 3U while keeping the systems organized, accessible, and ready for home automation, remote administration, scheduled routines, recovery workflows, and unattended operation.

For users who already connect SwitchBot devices to a compatible smart home platform, the setup can complement Home Assistant workflows and other automation systems. Each Mac mini can be controlled independently through the customer’s compatible SwitchBot devices, hubs, software, network, and automation configuration.

The rack mount is 3D printed from high quality PET-CF, a carbon fiber infused material selected for excellent stiffness, dimensional stability, lightweight construction, and a clean technical finish. Thoughtful details improve alignment, fit, cable access, organization, and everyday serviceability.

This product physically positions separately purchased SwitchBot devices to press the Mac mini power buttons. Home Assistant, remote control, scheduling, and other automation capabilities depend on the customer’s compatible devices, software, network, and configuration.

SwitchBot OpenAPI Automation:

SwitchBot provides an OpenAPI for personal automation projects. Customers can use API v1.1 to send supported commands to compatible devices, including the press command for a SwitchBot Bot. With the Bots installed in this rack mount, a compatible SwitchBot Hub and cloud setup, an API token and secret key, and a customer configured script or integration, each Mac mini’s physical power button can be pressed programmatically.

This advanced capability can support custom scripts, Home Assistant workflows, scheduled actions, remote recovery routines, dashboards, and other smart home projects. SwitchBot Bot is a Bluetooth device, so cloud API control requires the customer’s compatible SwitchBot hardware and account configuration. Coding and technical setup are required.
